The Harry Gwala District Municipality held a heartfelt memorial service for Mr. Mduduzi Memela, a devoted general worker at the Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma Satellite, who sadly passed away on the 7th of February 2025.
Born on the 25th of April 1975, Mr. Mduduzi Memela will be remembered for his exceptional qualities, including being a fast learner, a forgiving person, and someone who always looked beyond any issues that arose.
The memorial service, held at Etafuleni Hall in Kwa Phini, was attended by colleagues, family, and friends who gathered to pay their last respects. Councillor Bhekithemba Khathi from Ward 9 welcomed everyone and acknowledged the significant loss Mr. Memela's passing has brought to the community and the municipality.
Mr. Zwelikayise Hlengwa, who is an area Manager at NDZ satellite, shared his sadness and fond memories having worked with him for seven years at the municipality.
Mr. Memela's older brother, Mr. Sifiso Memela, also paid tribute to his brother, describing him as a person of peace who never held grudges or resorted to violence.
The funeral service for Mr. Memela will take place on the 15th of February 2025 at 9:00 am at Embhulelweni .The Harry Gwala District Municipality extends its deepest condolences to the Memela family and friends during this difficult time.
